How long will it take to clean my teeth?

New Patient exams with the cleaning is usually 2 hours. This maybe more if it has been several years since your last cleaning or if there is disease present.  If you are to add the whitening also with our New Patient Special package we usually suggest a 3 hour commitment for patients with a fair oral condition at the point of the cleaning.  If you would like to split the exam and cleaning (usually 2 hours), and the whitening (usually 1-1.5 hours) this can also be done at separate appointments if you wish to do so. We may suggest this at the time of your cleaning if it takes a bit longer than expected for any reasons.
